The Rene Moawad Foundation participated in the “Blom Beirut Marathon” organized by the Beirut Marathon Association.
The Foundation’s participation came in two fields: The educational field and the agricultural field.
In the educational field, 60 children from the foundation’s Center for Working Children in Bab El Tebbaneh participated in the event. The Bab El Tebbaneh Center works to improve the conditions of the children in the area through programs that include educational interventions on the social and psychological levels, as well as diversified medical services offered by a medical team from various disciplines. Through this center, the Rene Moawad Foundation strives to protect the children from dropping out of school and from child labor.
In the agricultural field, and in cooperation with USAID, the foundation distributed 150 crates of apples produced in Lebanon as a support to this product.
