The president of the Independence Movement Michel Moawad commented on the two explosions in Egypt that shook the St. Georges’s Church in Tanta and the St. Mark’s Coptic Orthodox Cathedral in Alexandria. He tweeted on his personal Twitter account:

“The Holy Week (of pain) started from Tanta and Alexandria… May the souls of the innocent victims rest in God’s mercy! Our prayers go to Egypt and the families of the victims and the wounded.”
