November 8^th, 2017 – The president of the Independence Movement Michel Moawad visited the Presidential Palace in Baabda today, where he was received by the President of the Republic General Michel Aoun.

The meeting was part of ongoing consultations being successively held by the head of the state since Tuesday with former officials, political leaderships and leaders of political parties in the country to address the current crisis that ensued after Prime Minister Saad Hariri’s resignation, and the implications of it being announced from outside of Lebanon. These meetings aim to explore ways out from the resulting situation.
