Commenting on a report about corruption, aired on LBCI, the president of the ‘Independence Movement’ Michel Moawad tweeted on his Twitter account:

“We won’t be able to carry on without the implementation of core reforms in the country. Without these reforms everything will collapse, and no one will be spared.”

The “Corruption is one of the main forms of financial fraud… Lebanon is one of the most corrupt countries” report, aired on LBCI, showed that according to the ‘Transparency International’ organisation’s Corruption Perceptions Index for the year 2016, Lebanon had reached the 136^th position among 176 countries. In 2015, Lebanon was in the 123^rd position.
