The president of the ‘Independence Movement’, Michel Moawad, replied to a tweet posted by Al Marada’s candidate for Zgharta, Toni Frangieh, by writing on his personal ‘Twitter’ account:
“My friend Toni Frangieh, I thank you for your concern about our martyred President René Moawad. I had counted on you to have had convinced the ‘Free Patriotic Movement’ about his presidential legitimacy, during the 10 years that you spent sitting in their lap. The most important is that you don’t consider that ‘reconciliation’ is an exclusive right for ‘Al Marada’ and its political and electoral interests. I invite you to look seriously at matters related to ‘tomorrow’, instead of getting drowned by ‘yesterday’.”
Frangieh had put a question on his Twitter: “Will the ‘Free Patriotic Movement’ now admit the legitimacy of President René Moawad’s presidential election?!?”
