Michel Moawad, President of the Independence Movement, tweeted: “In view of the total lack of confidence in the ruling clique and the Lebanese’ consensus that it has failed to manage every one of our crises, I call for international oversight, via the World Health Organization, of the process by which the coronavirus vaccine will be imported to Lebanon and distributed to Lebanese in accordance with global prioritization standards.”

He then added: “No to clientelism managing the Lebanese’ health and lives.”
