Members of the Douaihy Family organized a mass at Mar Sarkis and Bakhus church in Zgharta in commemoration of martyrs of the Miziara massacre. Father Michel Rouhana presided over the mass services which were attended by head of the Land Movement Talal Douaihy, Mrs. Paula Youssef, a youth delegation of the Independence Movement and families of the martyrs.

In his sermon, Father Rouhana stressed the importance of learning from past experiences to ensure a better future for Zgharta and promote love among its residents.

Following the mass, a youth delegation of the Indpendence Movement laid flowers over the grave of martyrs.

“This initiative is part of efforts to honor all Lebanese martyrs and turn the page,” said Antonio Moawad, head of the Independence Movement youth delegation.
