Salam Zgharta Club President Priest Stephan Franjieh held an honorary lunch banquet at a restaurant in the northern town of Ehden to celebrate the football club’s success last season.

Members of Salam Zgharta’s board of trustees and head of the Independence Movement Michel Moawad attended the lunch banquet among other prominent figures .

Franjieh praised all those who supported the club particularly Moawad. Franjieh added that he will be announcing in the near future the details of a support initiative by Moawad.

Salam Zgharta will be participating next season in five competitions including the Super Cup, the Lebanese Cup, the Elite Cup and the Lebanese premier league, which would require additional financial support for the players, Franjieh said.
