Information Minister Ramzi Jreij laid Sunday wreaths of flowers at the memorial site of President Rene Moawad, commemorating the 25th anniversary of his assassination on Independence Day.

Former Social Affairs Minister Nayla Moawad and her son, Independence Movement leader Michel Moawad accompanied by his wife Marielle and their kids attended the memorial service  along with MPs Henry Helou, Nehmeh Tohmeh and representatives of the Lebanese Army Chief and the ISF Director General. A number of senior state officials and civil society figures also participated in the memorial service.
