Ninette Kelley, the representative of the United Nations High Commission on Refugees (UNHCR) to Lebanon, has visited the Rene Moawad Foundation facilities in Mejdlaya-Zgharta town in north Lebanon where she met with former Social Affairs Minister Nayla Moawad.

Kelley toured the foundation’s facilities before visiting the Rene Moawad Technical Institute that is currently home to 346 students.

Kelley’s visit to the Rene Moawad Foundation was part of a north Lebanon tour to follow up on the humanitarian conditions of Syrian refugees in the area. The tour included meetings with senior officials in Tripoli city during which Kelley discussed the need to boost humanitarian aid to refugees.
