Former Social Affairs Minister Nayla Moawad praised the Lebanese Army for defending Lebanon’s sovereignty and independence.

“Only the army could protect Lebanon,” Moawad said during a gathering at Saint George restaurant in Rashiin village in Zgharta to celebrate Teachers’ Day.

The ceremony was organized by the Rene Moawad Foundation and brought together teachers and academic officials from across north Lebanon.

Head of the Technical Education Department in north Lebanon Abdel Rahman al Qota and ESA Director Rodolph Moawad were among the participants.
