Independence Movement leader Michel Moawad paid tribute Monday to late major Wissam Eid and 8 other martyrs on the eight anniversary of their assassination.

“We will remain loyal to martyrs who fell on the path to justice and in defense of a sovereign Lebanese state that has yet to take shape,” Moawad said in a tweet.
