Independence Movement leader Michel Moawad lamented the death of first sergeant Wissam Bleik of the Beirut Fire Department who succumbed Monday to wounds that he sustained from celebratory gunfire during last week’s municipal elections in Burj Abi Haidar.

“when will people stop dying in vain?” Moawad asked in a twitter post.
