The president of the Independence Movement Michel Moawad tweeted on his personal Twitter account, commenting on Prime Minister Saad Hariri’s visit to the South. He said:

“The visit to the South by PM Saad Hariri, the Minister of Defense and the Commander in Chief of the Army is an assertion about the respect of UN Resolution 1701. It constitutes a firm message that the protection of the South is the exclusive responsibility of Lebanon’s official authorities.”
