The president of the ‘Independence Movement’ Michel Moawad tweeted on his official ‘Twitter’:
“Congratulations to Ziad Itani for his regained freedom. He deserved this outcome as he is innocent.”
Moawad added:
“What happened with Ziad should not happen again in the future, therefore, we ask for a transparent and thorough accountability to take place. Elsewise, Lebanon’s international reputation is getting tarnished, and the Lebanese citizen will lose trust in the security and judiciary services.”
