Head of the Independence Movement Michel Moawad met at his residence in Zghorta with Lebanese Forces MP Fadi Karam who was accompanied by the head of the Order of Engineers in north Lebanon Marios Bainy.

“Attendees discussed the general circumstances that surrounded the elections of the Order of Engineers and stressed that coordination mechanisms have been established to avoid any problematics,” a statement released by the Independence Movement said,

Leading members of the Independence Movement Henry Moawad, Edwar Tayyoun and Antoine Jabbour also participated in the meeting.

Bainy said the circumstances that surrounded the elections had no impact on the solid alliance between the LF and the Indpendence Movement.

“The elections of the Order of Engineers represent a small detail of the deep-rooted alliance,” he said.
