Independence Movement leader Michel Moawad kicked off Friday a tour to Australia where he will head the movement’s annual gathering and meet with Lebanese expatriates of whom many hail from Zgharta district.

Moawad met upon his arrival to Sydney with MP Tony Issa and representatives of the March 14 coalition during a welcome ceremony held at Our Lady of Lebanon Church that was also attended by the head of the Maronite league in Australia Toufic Keyrouz and Independence Movement Coordinator Assaad Barakat.
