Independence Movement leader Michel Moawad said the verdict in the case of Michel Samaha represents the first step in the journey toward justice.

“All suspects in terrorist attacks, assassinations and bombings should face trial,” Moawad tweeted.

“Justice will be fully accomplished when exceptional courts are abolished and the jurisdiction of the military court is confined to military cases,” he said in another tweet.
