President of the Independence Movement, MP Michel Moawad, tweeted: “In light of the very harsh power cut to the villages and towns of the “Sahel Zgharta” district, I have contacted the Minister of Energy, César Abi Khalil, and the Chairman of the the Lebanese Electrical Company, Kamal Hayek to follow this matter, especially during the Holy month of Ramadan.

He added: “I have received promises to rectify the situation and increase the electrical supply that satisfies the needs of our people in Zgharta Zawiya.”
